Made in Cape Town by people who have run schools.
Slooch is taking on its first schools for Term 1, 2027.

Why one app
We have run a school. We know the Monday where the register is on paper, the marks are in a spreadsheet, the fees are in the accounting package and the consent forms for Friday's trip are in a pile on the office counter. Everyone works hard, and each person holds a different piece of the same week.
Slooch is one app for the whole school. When a teacher takes the register, the office sees who is absent and the parent gets the message. When the bursar enters a payment, the family's balance changes once. Each person sees the part that is theirs.
There are things Slooch will not do. It will not sell learner data or use it for advertising. It will not rank children against each other. And it will not claim results it has not measured: when a school tells us what changed, we will say so with the school's name on it, and not before.
How we work with schools
One grade first
A pilot starts with one grade for one term, and the school decides what comes next.
How the pilot worksThe school's data stays the school's
The school is the responsible party under POPIA. We sign the operator agreement before any of the school's information is loaded.
Read the agreement summaryA named person decides
Slooch suggests and reminds. A named person at the school approves, gives out and signs off.
Leave with your data
The school can export its data at any time, and receives it in full when the agreement ends.
